SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The scholarship program began in 2014.  Gladys came up to me during a walk to visit a failing well and asked if I could help with her school fees. Her mother was ill and her extended family could no longer afford to pay her fees so she was being  forced to leave school.  After interviews with her family and verification of the situation I took it upon myself to pay school fees for her and her sister.

I quickly learned that the majority of students never make it past P7.  The major reason most drop out is because of a lack of school fees.  Our scholarship program was born.

The Foundation members in Uganda identity students who can best benefit from our assistance.

Each scholarship student (and their family) must apply for acceptance into the program, and participate in an interview process. The student must show both financial need, academic promise, indicate how they (and Uganda) would benefit from acceptance into the program and agree to the reporting requirements and oversight of the foundation.

Another of our first recipients has completed her nursing program and now is a registered nurse.  Three of our students are now studying at  University.  Another is living her life-long dream of becoming a nun.   another said that his life changed when we accepted him as a student.  Now studying mechanical engineering at the University, he said he could never have even hoped for the future which is now before him.

What we are trying to achieve with our scholarship program is to level the playing field for students who go to poor, disadvantaged schools.

By donating to the Scholarship Fund  you are giving hope to many deserving young people.

I send my sincere gratitude towards your financial support fo my tuition.  I'm studying from Ndejje University pursing a Bachelor in Science with Education specializing in Mathematics and Economics.  The passion I had for joining University become realistic after you joining hands to forward support for us. . . I have adopted skills in research and presentation of the acquired information.  I have also evaluated how possible it is for a student at the University to succeed and eventually bring about a change she desires."

Francis

I send my heartfelt gratitude to you for paying school fees for me for without you my life would have been miserable.. . I sat my high school final examinations in 2017 and joyfully managed to pass with 13 points.  I look forward to joining a good institute and pursue further studies in mechanical engineering. I humbly that you for your Awesome support because this has changed my dreams of my future."  He is now in University pursuing his dreams.
